As the follow-up to their unusually experimental Destroyer (nonetheless one of Kiss's best albums ever), Rock and Roll Over, released the same year, contains more conventional three-chord material. That's not a bad thing, since Kiss at their peak arguably did three-chord arena-rock better than anyone else. "Calling Dr. Love" was a hit single, as was the surprisingly bittersweet (for Kiss) "Hard Luck Woman." "I Want You" is an unnerving mix of tenderness and tension, while "Take Me" is understandably urgent. Although this was material that would become conventional over the years--thanks to legions of copycat bands--it still sounds good today, probably because whether they're being sleazy or sweet, Kiss sound like they mean it. -- Genevieve Williams --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

Album Description

Eggs Over Easy had a huge influence on many British bands of the period, especially Brinsley Schwarz. According to the Brinsley's Nick Lowe, the Eggs had over 100 great songs at their fingertips. Just before they split, Eggs Over Easy recorded their lone album, Good 'n' Cheap, in 1972. This album, produced by Link Wray and the Eggs, is now thought of as a classic. It is now reissued here with 4 bonus tracks, supplied by the band. The accompanying 16 page CD booklet includes extensive liner notes, plus an additional note by Loudon Wainwright. Also, full lyrics to every track, rare photographs & reproductions of the original LP sleeve.

'111 Avenue C' and 'across from Me' were Both Recorded at Olympic Studios in London in 1971/72. 'bar in My Car' was Released as a Single in 1974, and 'scene of the Crime' was Recorded When the Band Reunited Briefly in 1980.

Eggs Over Easy was a pub rock band from the early '70s. Their only album was Good 'n' cheap, a country rock album produced by Link Wray and the Eggs. It was released in 1972. The only song on it that appears on another album is "The Factory", a hard rock song that is one of the best songs on the album. There are other great songs on the album including Austin de Lone's "Party Party" and Brien Hopkins' "Henry Morgan". Also Jack O'Hara's "Arkansas". This album sounds like an old favorite the first time you hear it.

WOW... 911 gives you ROCK'N ROLL... the way it was MEANT to be! My Favorites on "Mile in Her Shoes" are probably WONT GIVE UP, SUNDANCE and SIMPLE LIFE. The title track is also one that'll get you up and dancin'! The talent of these guys is evident, the acoustics are incredible, and the beat is PURE INTENSITY. A little FUNK, a little BLUES, and a LOT of ROCK! 911 has the Power to MOVE YOU... Both INSIDE And OUT!

When I hear the sounds of this band and the emotions captured, it it truly a gift to hear and feel this band. I found them live first and got the cd to follow.Its is a very high energy and positive sound. Its a very tight band. It also has Drew Tillman. You have to see this Band. I've been listening to 911 for years. They are the best! I've been waiting a long time for a CD that I could share with the entire world. You haven't heard the best unless you've listened to 911. Drews vocals are magnificent. The guitars and drums get you moving. Rock will never be the same. Enjoy... Now I'm anxiously waiting for the second CD!!

Mile in Her Shoes.......2000-06-29

This is a fantastic album! The lead guitarist is especially awesome, and talented both on guitar and in lyrics. I especially enjoyed "Sundance", which is all instrumental, a real showpiece for Drew, and the instrumentals on "Romeo and Juliet". "Won't Give Up" is a strong piece, sincere, energizing, excellent lyrics. This group definitely is bound for the spotlight in Rock and Blues.

This is a spectactular cd. The quality of the songs is
first rate. How these guys aren't already a household
name is surprising. There are at least 3 or 4 songs that
could be top 20 radio hits. Everyone that I have played
it for has really liked it. I bought this one after I was
checking out some new artists. The songs and the look of
the band(All Hunks)is very pleasing to the eyes and ears.

This is easily one of the BEST cd's in my collection. Every week I rotate the cd's that are in my car and this one is the only one that has stayed in my car since I got it !!! This one is a must have in your collection. Cannot wait to see them play live.

I love this album. Thirty tracks like this are hard to find. It has variety and quality. I highly recommend this CD! My wife uses it at school and we listen to it in the car with our kids. We can't get tired of this kids album.

I have enjoyed listening to this CD from start to finish. Not only are there songs there for little ones, but for adults who are still kids at heart...Most of the songs are easy to sing along with and have memorable hooks so the children can remember them easily...I give it a 5 * rating....

I was very pleased with the quality and thoughtful approach to children's music. The material on this CD treats children to a variety of interesting ideas rather than the old formula that has been used ad nauseam. Great job.
