This 7-track disc is almost identical to the "King Biscuit Flower Hour" release. All that's missing is the 30-minute interview with Randy Bachman.

Recorded during the "BTO 2" tour in Chicago sometime in March 1974, the album contains live versions of "Let It Ride", "Give It Time", "Roll On Down The Highway", "Welcome Home", "Takin' Care Of Business" and "Slow Down Boogie". Just as on the KBFH, track 7 is in fact recorded during a Randy Bachman concert in 1993 at Bob's Garage in North Bend, Washington, and is only otherwise available on the promo-only EP "Plugged In".

The energy is good, and the musicianship is, well, typical BTO. An affordable substitute to the KBFH, if you don't already own that...

    This is just a re-packaging of their excellent King Biscuit Flower Hour Live CD with only 10 tracks instead of the original 14. If you have the King Biscuit CD, pass. If not and the price is right, this is a pretty good CD.

    Dang it I'm tearing up again, just like 1991 at Ventura County Fair Grounds. How could one band, heartstring me from 1974 to 1991 to 2003? Any surprise the Beatles' producer George Martin made albums with America? Taking me, from 1974 in Wisconsin, parents just had died (my horse had no name?)..to homeless California drifting in 1978..performing their hits myself..to post-college 1991 in Ventura swayin' to the band..to my becoming a 2003 suburban-daddy in Nashville? Get it for "California Dreamin'" worth 6 bucks alone. Q. these tracks from King Biscuit 1982 gig? This has lots punch compared to KB CD.

    When you find recordings of old groups that you like, pay attention to when the recording was made. After 20 years the vocals sound a bit -- old. In fact, this recording sounded like it was recorded with an old 5 lb. Shure mic hung from the ceiling.

    As stated by the previous reviewer, this is the exact same copy of the King Biscuit Flower hour cd without the interview with Ricky Medlocke and without the fancy booklet or any information period (it is just a cd cover, that is all)

    The cd runs at 45 minutes

    While the sound quality is better than the KBFH it is still not up to snuff in my opinion compared to other KBFH recordings and certainly not like the RECORD: Highway Song live.

    I suggest you go to the reviews of Blackfoot KBFH, they are good as well.

    I would not want to turn on a person to Blackfoot with cd because it would probably turn him/her off due to the sound quality and the rushed playing.

    However, for a Blackfoot fan, the price is right, thus receives 3 stars or 6/10

    5 out of 5 stars Excellent Sound Quality.......2001-05-22

    This is exactly the same recording as the King Biscuit Flower Hour release recorded at the Hollywood Palladium in 1983. But the mix is so much better. It really sounds good. When I first bought the King Biscuit release I was very disappointed. It was nothing like the Highway Song Live release. Way too sharp & digital sounding. But I'm a big fan so I bought the Hits You Remember live CD even though the track listings are exactly the same as the King Biscuit Release. However, I didn't really want another copy of that. I was hoping it was another recording from the same tour. It's not, but this is so much better. I am very happy. It sounds so much better. I don't know why but the King Biscuit Flower hour CD ... (pales) in comparision. Maybe this one is re-mixed. Anyway I'm very happy I bought this one. I thought it wasn't a good concert, but after listening to Hits You Remember Live I realize that it was a great show. Medlocke's screams sound just right, not too sharp. The King Bisquit CD hurt my ears if I turned it up. Not so with this one. But of course nothing compares to Highway Song Live. If you love Rock n' Roll, Say Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!

        A live performance by Jerry Lee Lewis is an experience you will not soon forget. These songs on this disc offer you a good sampling of one of Rock and Roll's original bad boys. From his rendition of Meat Man all the way down to his rocking versions of other songs you will remember, this is an excellent collection. I rated it 3 stars for the simple reason that most live performances on tape are not near as good as the studio tapes. The sound wasn't good, or whatever the reason. But the music on here deserves a full 5 star rating. My personal favorites-- yes there is actually two here-- are Careless Hands and You Win Again. I have actively sought every version of this song that I can find by Jerry Lee Lewis. Each one reflects a different side of the man and the music behind him. As they said at the 1979 appearance of Jerry Lee Lewis on Nasville's Grand Ole Opry, "Hank Williams, step aside, because HERE COMES THE KILLER!!!!" The Killer Rocks on and on and on and on....there is no substitute.

        This cd is a great live album! all 10 songs are fantastic! the only problem is! its the same album as the King Biscuit Live CD minus the interview with Lonesome Dave at the end!! but for this low price you can't beat it

        5 out of 5 stars Foghat. Hits You remember Live.......2001-03-19

        If anybody wanted to hear a great live album by one of the best bands in the world, this is it. It is better then the '77 album Foghat Live and better then Road Cases which came out in the nighties. HYRL starts out with a rollicking version of I Just Want To Make To You. Hightlights are Sweet Home Chicago, Hurts Me Too and It's Too Late. And yes, it also has Foghat's biggest hits: Drivin' Wheel, Stone Blue, Fool For The City and of course, Slow Ride. It's great to hear the late great Lonesome Dave's voice again and he doesn't miss a note. Rod Price plays fantastic slide as always and who can forget one of the best drum and bass combo's in the world of rock and roll: Roger Earl and Tony Stevens. I totally recommend this CD. Just remember, turn it up loud in your car!
